Material mainly from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology's Atomic Bomb Unit, which stored specimens and photographs from Hiroshima and Nagasaki (much of which was returned to Japan). Includes correspondence, reports, and photographs from the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission, Army-Navy Joint Commission for the Study of the Effects of the Atomic Explosions in Japan, U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, and Radiation Effects Research Foundation. Also includes film footage.
